We’ve come across an issue with some Fujitsu D556 Desktops where the system will freeze, and the only thing you can do is press and hold the power button and restart the system. This issue doesn’t affect every Fujitsu D556.
There are three possible fixes for this issue:
- Update the BIOS
A fix has been released by Fujitsu via a BIOS update. You can use the Fujitsu Desk Update to check to see if there is an update for your Fujitsu desktop.
- Update the Graphics Driver
Updating the Graphics driver to the latest version. Again, you can use the Fujitsu Desk Update to do this.
- Change BIOS settings
Open the BIOS and go to Advanced -> CPU Configuration. If the setting “Package C State Limit” is set to AUTO, change it to C0.
